OTD deal?

I'm looking at 2013 HS demo model with 1,134 miles on it. The bike has a few scuffs on the rear seat and left side box from people getting on and off it.The first service has been completed and is listed at $12,140. I know I'll want the box on it for my wife to use a back rest.

My question is how much do you guys think a good OTD price would be? I'm thinking $12,500 including the topbox. I know that's an $800 add on from Ducati, but I am figuring with the miles, year and imperfections on the seat and bags its kind of fair.

Or am I giving the dealer too much fairness and look for a better deal out the door?

Thanks,
LJ

Get a better deal. It's a used bike and they are all going for closer to $10,000. Remember it's a demo with over 1000 miles those could have been newer riders gently riding around town, or they could have been pro mx guys seeing if the hyperstrada can handle serious off roading and wheelies.

Agreed. I will never go for demo bike. 1134 miles could mean 1134 miles of trashing, high rpm rev and wheelies and endo on the bike.

i bought my 2013 in march with 1700 miles on it & it was a demo for 13,500. This was right before they dropped the price on all of them to around 12.000. I still got the 2 year warranty, but this bike SUCKS for 13,500. haha It will be worth it when I upgrade the suspension & brakes this month. I have 6,000 miles on my bike now & have had a world of electronic issues & will have a new dash this month from ducati to help settle some of the issues.

Anyways, if you can get the bike for 11,000 then it is worth it, bc you will need to spend another few hundred or a thousand getting the bike to be more than a beginner bike.

Should have bought the hypermotard sp...

Thanks for the feedback. I think I'm going to hold off on the used demo for now.
I don't need the bike so if the numbers don't work for me I can easily walk away no worse for wear.

Hi LJ, did you already test ride the Demo HS? It really is a fun bike to ride and worth a good test. This is just me, but if you do like it, there is no harm in making an offer that makes sense for you, whatever number that is. They do have to sell it, sooner or later......
