Remove seat w/o key

Is it possible to jimmy the seat off without the key or wrecking it? I can't find my key and think I might have left it under the seat.

I think if you pull the under tail right side piece that the key plugs into (3 allen head bolts) you can remove the tumbler and pull the cable by hand. That's if we are talking about the 821/939

I messed with it and the seat base is flexible enough that you can get under there and pull the cable until opens. Not very secure if you use the helmet latch.
