I wanted to clean up the rear a little for when I'm not touring, I ordered some carbon panels that fix to the plastic part the rack mounts to. However there is a problem, the rack supplies the nuts you bolt into, without that there is no way to keep the rear panels and their mounting piece in place.
Not sure how it is on the motard, how is it fixed? I'm looking for a way to mount the rear piece without the rack but then being able to bolt the rack back on when needed. Although this may not be possible.
Any thoughts?
