I would like for one of the experts here to explain the Riding Modes to me.

2014 Hyperstrada.

1. I do know that in sport and touring it is supposed to be 110HP and in Urban it is supposed to be 75HP. So what is the High, Medium, and Low settings. On my Multi you can set the throttle response and the HP setting in each mode. Where does medium come into play.

2. DTC has 1-8 and off. I know what off means but what is the difference of 1-8. 1 almost no traction control and 8 a lot of it or ????

3. ABS has 1, 2, and Off. OK Off means no ABS braking function, got it. Is 1 almost no ABS and 2 a lot of ABS ????

I have been thinking for any dirt work taking the Urban mode and turning off the DTC and ABS. This way it can be slid buth under acceleration and braking.

Give me the scoop gang. ;)

This is in the manual.

The settings you mentioned for dirt are used by a friend and he likes it. I also switch to urban but pretty much can't be bothered to adjust the rest.

I like abs 1 for dirt. I prefer without TC on dirt, but maybe try it also at 1 or 2 and see what you prefer.

Thank you. DOH I did find a fairly good explanation of the DTC and ABS modes and what they do in the manual, BUT there is no mention of what the High, Medium, and Low power settings do.

On my Multi it has setup for full power - quick throttle response, Full power - slow throttle, and Reduced power - slow throttle. So I can only assume the Hyper is the same. ???

Yes. Those are the throttle response/dampening settings.

Thanks, Mystery solved. So I assume Medium is 110HP with slow throttle response? It feels down on power set to medium but that is probably just an illusion.

High: 110 hp, sharp throttle response
Medium: 110 hp, softer throttle response
Low: 75 hp, even softer throttle response

Now you've got me curious about poking around in there. Since my throttle replacement I feel my throttle response is a bit softer - hmmm

I put on the heated grips yesterday and that replaced the entire throttle at the grip. I did not do a TPS reset as it appears to not be needed. I will still have to get the dealer to turn them on before they actually work.

Drat, If it was a Guzzi I have all the software to hook one up and do anything. Not so with the Duc. :(

Of course, if it was a Guzzi it would be 150lbs heavier and slower.
