SKF fork seal part numbers?

I think any Kayaba 43mm fork seals will work.

I've found that brands will crossover so it's possible a Yamaha seal or something could work too. I used this trick on my Suzuki by using a Honda seal and they turned out to be identical parts, even though one was for Honda Showa upside down forks and the other was for Suzuki Showa conventional ones. The Honda parts were half the price!

I actually just contacted SKF as I am installing the mupo cartridges. They told me that KITG-43K was the size I needed for my Kabaya forks on my normal hypermotard 821.

Hmmm, on the inntek site, it shows 2013-2015 Hyperstrada 821's are Showa, and 2016+ 939's are Kayaba. I also found a review article that stated the 2015 Hyperstrada 821 was a Showa, but most others say Kayaba.

How frustrating. Third attempt to post this, so I'll make it the short version. Anyone with a 2013-2018 North American non-SP Hyper* replaced their fork seals with SKF can confirm which kit you used? They should all be the same part number according to Ducati but SKF thinks otherwise and can't confirm. Thanks.

A seal that has failed at 15,000 kms. My 998 is still in the original seals at over 50,000. Plus you should see the video. They are NOT all the same. And I would never put anything from All Balls on my own bike.

Roger Albert, OnRoad/OffRoad, did mine and used these seals, consider reaching out to him, I also have full Mupo conversion...

Be careful when you order. Looks like those are the "M" kits for Marzochi forks.

Thanks - you're right. As the thread indicates the suspension listings for this bike are muddy. SKF makes a showa kit they list as valid for the 821 stradas, but a kayaba kit for the 2016 model. (KITG-43K) All indications are that the 821 is kayaba - regardless of what the reviewers say. No one who has installed upgrades or seals has confirmed this. I have some mupo stuff coming from Italy - should be here early September - I'll try to follow up with what is found inside the mystery tubes.

Anyway, ordered this kit (x2) https://www.ebay.com/p/SKF-KITG-43K-Fork-Seal-Kit-Kayaba-43mm/238986051

Did you determine if Kayaba or Showa?

I just ordered the single-side Mupo cartridge and need to do seals also. Did you determine if it's KITG-43K or KITG-43S for the 2013 Hyperstrada? Most sources seem to suggest Showa, but hard to get a feel-good.

K for kayaba. Having forks done, got the kayaba set, it's the right set.
