Termignoni Baffle ... Ideas?

My used Hyperstrada came with a beautiful Termignoni muffler ... but the quiet baffle insert is MISSING. Dealer says they don't have it ... but can order one.
Not sure of the price yet. Anyone?

So, what's the best solution to take a bit of the edge of this monster. It's pretty loud when on the throttle. Turns heads in town and my buddies don't like to ride behind! :D

I read up on some forums where riders complain the baffle makes the pipe too quiet and ... boring (God forbid!) What's the best compromise to get a nice sound without joining the HD straight pipe crowd. :D

Any idea what this missing insert will cost? (dealer did not know of the top)

Ideas?

I'm sure a good machinist could fab up something that would fit in the muffler end ... but then again machinists are not acoustic engineers ... and would have no clue what a baffle does or how to design one.

I think I'd prefer something Termignoni themselves have designed to work specifically with this $2000 muffler :)eek:) I'm sure it exists .... just got to get hold of one.

On other forums riders who thought the baffle reduced sound to an anemic whimper, took to drilling a few well placed holes to increase the sound a bit.

So, could go that route, which I've done on other bikes in the past with some success.
