I took a Hyperstradas for a test spin at my local dealer. I had a blast and found it shockingly comfortable. Out of all the bikes I have owned I miss is my KTM 690SM the most. The bike was an absolute grin machine but sadly single purposed. In the twists and in hooligan mode it was great but outside of that it was taxing to ride. The Hyperstrada seems to be the best of both worlds. Ripper in the twisties, comfortable elsewhere, mannered enough for around town and highway trips, and much more punch than the KTM.
So I will stop preaching to the choir and convincing myself its a rationale purchase.
I have a question about the traction control.
During my demo ride, 1 hour, I messed with the Sport, Touring, and urban settings. But I neglected to mess with the Traction Control settings.
The bike seems to have good punch but no wheel lift punch. Maybe this is a new bike and maybe I was kinder on the throttle because it was a new demo bike.
I feel it should have more low end torque.
With that said, again I did not pay attention to the TC setting.
Is there a default setting 1-8 per mode ( Sport touring or urban)?
Could the dealer have set the TC at the most intrusive level and I would have to manually change it( outside of switching from sport to touring to urban)?
Thanks
