My Hyperstrada is from 2013 and has low miles, around 12000miles. Already done the service a year ago.
A couple of months ago my bike's EOBD light began to turn on for about 10~20 sec. then off, only during highway rides (~70mph).
As time passes the issue became worse and now is the opposite, the light is almost always on with occasional off.
The Dash ERRORS shows ENGINE (error) but based on the manual it could be a lot of things. My dealer is too far away (cost me 100u$s back and forth) and if possible I rather fix it myself.
The bike now runs very rough in low-end with occasional stalling, the opposite of smooth. On high-end is fine, with the usual power and acceleration.
The other symptom is now the full tank last ~120 miles (city) and before this issue it used to last ~100 miles, so I'm guessing is now running lean.
Does somebody know how to troubleshoot this problem? Where to begin looking? Lamda sensor? Exhaust valve? And how to test these sensors?
Is it worth buying a JPDIAG device to read the codes?
