Looking for the new 2016 Hyperstrada 939, but there are none to be found.

Nothing on CycleTrader except for used 2013-2015 Hyperstrada...

Has anyone seen them at their local dealer?

Canada!

I've had mine for two weeks from one of the local dealers.

My cheek muscles hurt from the sh*t-eating grin I've consistently had since taking ownership.

Now, if I could only make it sound like my 900ss...:p

Local dealer just got one in. They are going to PDI it and prep it for demo rides. I plan to go back in next week and see how it feels. The sales rep said the small bump in torque give a better 2nd and 3rd gear than the outgoing 821 motor. I don't see any reason to trade up, but I'm still very curious to ride it.

It seems to have taken an awfully long time for the 2016 model to appear in the flesh at UK dealers, and I can't find any consumer test ride videos of it at present.

I also heard the comment about increased torque making it a nicer ride, but I suspect the changes were all about making it Euro 4 compliant, which in turn puts stringent limits on environmental impact and beefs up safety requirements.

Frankly, I can't see there much of a positive improvement, with the increased weight nulling any slight performance gain - it's certainly more ungainly with the extra oil cooling radiator tacked on. And they missed a golden opportunity to improve the budget suspension or refine the touring elements, like better luggage or more effective weather protection.

I've got a test ride on one when mine goes in for a service at the end of the month, see if all the hype is warranted.

Have to agree here, particularly regarding the suspension. It's not bad , but not for the scratch they're asking.

Saw one at the dealer and that oil cooler hangs low and up front - very vulnerable. Not really much thought put into it - just a bolt on job, an afterthought.

Excellent - I'll look forward to your comments. And if you're feeling brave, a video review would be even better :)

I cannot believe they don't offer an "SP" line for upgraded suspension. It's such a win-win for them and I certainly pooped on the suspension in my owner survey.

Yeah, if I was going to upgrade to a new Hyper, it would probably be a HM SP, mainly for the suspension.... for me, it's that or spending some time and money on the suspension of my '13 HS. But, I'll probably just keep riding the bike I already have. Next investment might be a Husky 701 with a Yeti Snow MX kit for winter fun.... all the reviews seem to favor it over the already very nice Timbersled kits. No point for it living where I do, but now I'm likely moving about 7 hours due North into the snow belt, which has me thinking about winter already... sorry for the tangent, my mind is scattered early in the morning... anybody here already try a Timbersled or a Yeti?

Just buy a used 13-15. The changes on the 16 don't seem worth it at all. Might as well be the same bike.

Jerdog, thanks, that is some very cool video. Maybe Jensen Beeler has a point after all - why not integrate video capability directly on new bikes, as an option.... I might not be the first to go that route myself, but I can see a lot of room in the market for it. And I would enjoy others videos...

Australian Availability

The Hyperstrada is an order only model for the Australian market. Local dealer has a Motard demo and an SP on the floor. Euro 4 see us not only getting the vulnerable low oil cooler but also the "after thought" charcoal canister.
My 2013 with forged rims and soon to have Mupo suspenders is looking better by the minute.
