Windscreen details...

I would think those posts are fixed with no adjustment. Since the screen is a little long and its just held from the bottom (no side support) they had to extend thpse support points so that the screen doesnt bend backwards at high speeds. They are going to sell a longer windshield for about 200 USD.. I saw it on the configurator on the ducati webpage

The stock windshield might be better for desert riding. I live in a desert region so we get hot in the summer. I would want the additional air flow to my helmet for venting purposes. I'm also 5'-6" so the short windshield would probably be better for me anyway

I wonder how long it will take for the aftermarket market to provide different windshield length options for the Hyperstrada.

as i said before ducati has an optional taller windscreen

this is a side shot of the standard windshield

and this is a side shot of the taller windscreen, it looks like it is about 3 or 4 inches taller and it has a steeper angle on top that would create a bigger deflection. and would send all that airflow over your head. i think the ducati boys stepted ahead of the aftermarket guys ;)

this is the description that on the ducati website about the "Touirng windscreen"

"The increased size of the Plexiglas windscreen with fumé finish guarantees additional aerodynamic protection, ideal for tourism in the medium and long range. The surface has been increased by 20% in the upper part, to free the rider of air pressure in the shoulder and helmet area. The windscreen is supplied with a kit of couplings to properly fasten it to the vehicle."

It will all depend on sales of the Hyper and demand for something better

Thanks lot, Mibanez - that's an incredibly helpful response - and the pix are great. I'm keener than ever as it seems that Ducati is really pulling out all the stops to get this bike right! Well done...

And BTW - can you pls provide info so that I may access that 'Configuarator' (I think) website? Again - thank you...
