WTB Hyper 821 seat

Hi all, I'm looking for a used seat from any of the 821 models to send out for a foam and cover job. So, condition of the cover and foam are not important. As long as the base is good, let's talk!
 
i am interested in buying the hypermotard seat, so maybe we can work out a deal & you can purchase my stock strada seat

Zippy49, I just stripped the cover off mine, reshaped the seat (using an electric carving knife) and recovered using the stock cover. I had done the same of my 2008 1100 Hypermotard. The results are good but make sure to post some pics when you're done.
 
The non-slip cover is the main thing I hate. Glues me down when I'm in jeans. And I need more foam, not less!
 
The cover is sticky. My left side arm that secures to the mounting peg slips off after spirited rides. I can feel it when it's let go- popping noises and shifting. They really should have made those arms out of metal...
 
I have a seat on the way, thanks Jeff. It is from an SP, and I spent some time last weekend at a local dealer sitting on each.

The SP/standard Hyper seat seems to have a cover that is not loose. The 'scoop' for the butt is shallower (good) and a bit more forward (bad). The rear bit is thinner too, so it will be easier to move back for those top speed tests :rolleyes:

I'll try each for a bit and then send the loser off for mods. Will probably end up with a 'sport' seat and another for two-up touring.

I also think the other bikes in the garage are getting jealous...;)
