Hey all,
quick question regarding a coolant change I just did on my 2013 Hyperstrada.
Following the service manual I drained and refilled the radiator and reservoir with Prestone 50/50 cor-guard Coolant. Which is an ethylene glycol based coolant.
Now I spent a little too much time...
took delivery of a demo with 47 miles on it on a closeout price.
so far all is well and fitment is much better than my last bike. I have 400 on the clock and my last bike was already in the shop with serious issues lol.
anyways. i noticed this issue. pink coolant has gelled right by this...
Are you meant to check the coolant with the bike on the side stand or level like when you check oil? The manual doesn't say either way for checking coolant but it does explicitly state the bike has to be level when checking oil. How do you guys do it?
Hi all, I have done my first ride last friday and today as I was installing some goodies on my bike, Ive seen leaks. As showed on pictures, it seems to be coolant. Do anyone have information about that??
The factory coolant recommendation is ENI / AGIP, which of course is unobtanium in the U.S., or so it seems. What is a compatible coolant for the Hyper? I don't need to add any, but want to have a liter or so on hand just in case.
Thanks!
Noticed coolant on the floor after a track day. Figured it was overflow, cleaned it up, and let it sit. After a while, noticed more coolant. Was dripping down the front cylinder and along the group of overflow hoses. Finally traced it down to a coolant connector on the top of the case...
Still in the break in period on the hs. Was curious what "normal" is for the coolant temperature? With freeway riding in medium traffic I can bounce between 3rd and 6th gear depending on the flow of cars. The temp reads from 168 up to 210. Just wondering what others may experience.
