Hi, I just bought my 2013 HS a few weeks ago and it was cleverly equiped with an USB port attached to the GPS pigtails. I even heard that suggestion here so I went to look and check it out and that is when I discovered it had already been done. But when I plug my iPhone into it nothing happens ...
If I had to get just one add on for a motorcycle it would have to be a radar detector. Don't see how anyone could keep their license without one. Even with the 85 mph speed limits in Texas, and the 75 mph speed limits on two lane blacktop back highways.
The 2nd piece of equipment is the...
Time to switch to Bluetooth and cut the wire between my helmet and the bike.
Will add photos as I make the change.
The Sena 20S allows me to use my Sensaphonics ear monitors, eliminating the helmet speakers.
The Redline radar detector, Garmin Zumo and Sena SR-10 will all be powered by the...
I tend to document everything motorcycle. Have done so for decades. Starting in 1999 I added keeping GPS files on my rides.
Most consider this a bit extreme but I enjoy referring to past rides when planning the next ride.
As an example of this, here is a snapshot of my last Sierra Mountain...
The Hyperstrada works best if you can move around on the seat, back and forward, like on a dirt bike. I replaced the OE seat with the racing seat to make such movement easier. Next was to make all my electronic stuff available but out of the way.
I purchased a small cross bar Moto Pocket. A...

Hi Folks, I've lurked around here for a while so thought it was time I made myself known.
My 6 month/4100km old Hyperstrada shares garage space with a KTM 625SXC, a Honda CB250RS post classic race bike, a Ducati 400SS Junior post classic race bike and a Suzuki FXR150 F4 race bike. I've owned...
Riding since 1970 I'm familiar with all those interest in remaining minimalist riders. All alone with the bike. Good for those who wish to ride that way.
Coming from a BMW K1600GT, and looking for a small bike experience again, the Hyperstrada is in my garage. However, I really enjoyed having...
Hi there,
I bought a Garmin 590LM. It has huge screen and there is little space on the Hyperstrada to mount it. There not many nice solutions on the market. I would like to have something I can lock (no RamMount) and something that does not completely destroy the beauty of the motorcycle. The...
Will the Garmin Zumo 350/390 CANbus cable that works for a BMW also work for a Ducati, or do they have different CANbus plug heads? Anywhere I can buy a Ducati CANbus head and cut off the BMW head and connect the Ducati head?
I ask because I can't seem to find the cable for sale separately...
HI,
Does anyone know where the GPS wiring is on the Hyper? If anyone has located them any chance of a heads up on where to find them or a pic?
Thanks

So, Got my DP GPS all mounted the other day. It works well as a GPS if that is all you are going to do with bluetooth GPS. It has a good screen, touch with gloves, very fast easy to read in sunlight, really a nice unit.....except....You cannot pair your bluetooth headset with it and anything...
