A new RHS Pannier Lock Plate. $80 AUD plus postage from Australia. I had to get the Lock Kit for a LHS one that I needed.

The panniers claim that the max weight is 5 Kg per. Does this include the weight of the pannier or not. Who has loaded the stock ones the heaviest?

I have read the cleaning procedures in the manual, but does anybody have any additional techniques/products they use? Is there anything available that helps keep them from fading? Thanks, RAT

I damaged my right hand pannier lock and was forced to get a replacement. They come as a pair however so I have a left hand one if anyone needs it. The pair cost £110 (GBP) so you can have the left for £55 + P&P.

Has anyone tried to put the kriega adv pannier platform on their hyper? Maybe the holes will line up? Will the platform, (with bags added), hold up without any additional scaffolding?

not convinced with the ducati dry bag that came with the panniers. it's heavy and takes up a lot of precious space inside. i would rather stuff my things in a garbage bag or plastic grocery bag if i needed waterproofing. but there must be a cooler way to do it... don't know if it's been done...

Anyone know if Ducati is planning to release better side bags for the hyperstrada? The stock ones (zippered and non waterproof) do not feel like they will survive frequent use. I would hope to see a hard, waterproof set that fits the stock rack.
