thermostat

Are thermostat/thermoswitch 55340041A and 55340041B interchangeable? I want to replace mine and am reading that the "B" indicates a revised version of the thermostat but dont see if it is a universal swap. Most of what I have found talk about the Davial and this thermostat revision.
