After looking online I think I need the "holder" piece (48311741A) from the Hypermotard that has the nuts built in. The holder from the Hyperstrada can't attach to the bike without the grab rails as the grab rails contain the nuts. Again if someone has done this before any advice would be...

Love this question! I'm most thankful for the original 916. I remember exactly where I was the first time I clapped eyes on one. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. After the bulbous jap bikes of that era this thing was from the future. What a machine and still looks good today!
