The exhaust flap is cable actuated. It is easily disconnected by removing the shield covering the flap mechanism to gain access to it.

The cheap option may be finding someone over there that has removed their handlebar clamp spacers, and sourcing some longer bolts. The length is close to 0.75 inches, and you could remove material to adjust from there if needed.

I don't think so. Early in the Hypermotard's life, it shared the same engine with both the Monster, and Multistrada(the clutch was different). The Hypermotard and Monster have shared the 1100, 796, and now 821 engines. I'll bet that the Monster will move to the 939 engine next year. It...
