It softens the throttle response. The modes are covered in the manual as to what the difference is.

That's way too much money for some plugs, a fancy box, and a resistor. That's also just a band aid that wastes fuel. A better solution is to pay the money for a proper tune.

Mine came out to 19.975 mm. I had to find them, though. I forgot that I had reused them as exhaust spacers on the KLR.

I got my cable up and running. I ended up buying a new connector for the harness, because the way they molded the strain relief prohibited me from just de-pinning the connector and swapping the locations. When I get home, I can give you an exact pinout for what works.
