    Adventures in Hypermotard Tuning...

Yes that could also work. The my tuning bike is just wideband sensors with control units to feed them the proper voltage and maintain the proper temperature using the built in heating elements. Widebands use 18mm threads and the narrowbands use something like a 10 or 12mm fine thread. You'd...

Is Euro 95 RON gas causing misfire?

I know it's a hassle but try putting the 15T back on and see what happens... lol. Did you just start noticing it after that mod? Sorry to keep pressing the issue it just makes me remember the whole "what's the last thing that changed" philosophy. It probably has something to do with whatever it...

Is Euro 95 RON gas causing misfire?

Ok, the reason I ask is because my hyper felt like it did this. After some careful testing it was only doing it at 8,000RPM in 2nd, as a result of the 14T front sprocket. Something with the rev limiter kicking in. A few others have had this too. Do you get a red flashing light even for a...

Is Euro 95 RON gas causing misfire?

It wouldn't happen at exactly 8,000RPM in 2nd gear, would it?

    SKF fork seal part numbers?

I think any Kayaba 43mm fork seals will work. I've found that brands will crossover so it's possible a Yamaha seal or something could work too. I used this trick on my Suzuki by using a Honda seal and they turned out to be identical parts, even though one was for Honda Showa upside down forks...

    Starter Motor Replacement DIY

Oh I can believe it. That's where Ducati makes money - parts and service. I bet they lose money on bike sales. It's so simple though, I bet someone could rig one up from a door hinge if they needed to! NO WAY it's worth $160. I actually have my generator cover tool if anyone needs it. gatdammit...

    Starter Motor Replacement DIY

That's right. It just pushes on the center. It's a really simple tool... In my picture there are some nuts that i just used as spacers because my 2 screws were too long.

    Black bodywork turning milky?

This stuff is amazing, and it lasts. Apply it, let it soak in for a few hours, then wipe off thoroughly to minimize dust attraction. https://www.amazon.com/CarGuys-Plastic-Restorer-Ultimate-Solution/dp/B071FRWWRF

    Front sprocket rubber ring purpose?

One thing to check before you install is that the splines fit as tightly as OEM. I have seen some aftermarket sprockets that are a little loose fitting and they wear out the countershaft over time.

    Front sprocket rubber ring purpose?

Quiets it down a bit. Helps with noise regulation requirements. You will find some bikes have sound deadening on the sprocket cover and clutch cover to further reduce sound.

    Starter Motor Replacement DIY

Yeah rare but possible. It's a special one-way clutch that can slip if not working right.

    Ignition Coil issues

Ducati did a recall that added a voltage protection device at the dash to protect it from voltage spikes. Some suggest one should be used at the ECU as well. Basically the coils are noisy (lots of coils are) but the Hyper in particular is not built to handle those transient high voltages. I had...

Ducati Hypermotard 821 clutch fix - the definitive guide

I have always wondered why the last one was offset and can't find a single source explaining why it should be offset. Here's a link to the service manual and a bunch of other interesting crap (download to your pc and open "service manual launcher")...

    New Front Fork Cartridge Options

I've heard great feedback about Andreani and Mupo both. You probably can't go wrong with either one.

    Sold my hyperstarada 939, bought...

I had a 2014 Hyper SP all along, it's fundamentally the same bike and all the info here is interchangeable!

    Adventures in Hypermotard Tuning...

The RB Evo should emulate O2 sensors so you should be able to remove them, but I've heard of people getting check engine lights from a bad O2 sensor with the RB installed. So I'm not really sure how that works... it's kinda frustrating. One of the reasons why if I were to do it again I would go...

Changed starter bit bike still won't start

Could also be the starter clutch. Heard of them going in rare cases. Or the valves as mentioned above.

How is your battery? Did you check your wires and grounding points?
