    Crash :( Hypermotard 1100 Forks on 821?

Wow, you've put a lot of effort and money into that bike! Sorry to hear it can't be fixed.

    Waterproof pannier: Ghetto solution

I'd have thought a good bet would be the sort of slicone spray they sell for rain-proofing outdoor clothing and tents. Or dubbin for boots...

Installing Aprilia (Eldor) Coil Packs on Hypermotard/Hyperstrada

To clarify, Eldor are the makers of the better coils fitted to both Aprilias and the later Ducatis. If you go the route as described elsewhere, you may score some s/h Ducati coils that will be plug and play, but the Aprilia ones don't require very much modification to fit the HS or HM and may...

For Sale 2014 Hyperstrada 939 w/Termignoni For Sale

But that ad and the info on the oil cooler pipes suggest 2016 for the 937/939. That seems more likely to me, but what do I know?

For Sale 2014 Hyperstrada 939 w/Termignoni For Sale

Did they pump the 821 up to 939 in its second year?

    Ducati 821 2013 Hyperstrada

Presumably, your front indicators are still working? If so, you'll need to backtrack on the wiring until you reach the flasher unit, which is bound to be a pain. Good luck!

Help Please - Replacing Hyperstrada 821 Grab Rails with Tail Plastics

I've just been digging in my store because there must have been more bits I took off my HS, such as the grab-handles etc. It turns out I bought the genuine Ducati Performance 'carbon half-tail kit', 96989951A, which has plenty of diagrams and probably included some fixings too. Oh, and...

Help Please - Replacing Hyperstrada 821 Grab Rails with Tail Plastics

Hi Johny, I'm not going to be as much help as you'd like because I really don't want to dismantle my bike to find out! I do recall the change from HS to HM rear end as being very easy, changing to CF side pieces in the process. Obviously you need access to bolts to fit, but I keep a big stock...

Help Please - Replacing Hyperstrada 821 Grab Rails with Tail Plastics

I've managed this conversion without buying any other components. Can't remember the details but I'll check it out tomorrow. As regards lashing luggage in place, I had a feeling my standard 2013 HS has the fold-out hooks underneath, just like the DP seat on my ST4. More tomorrow... Nick

    Ducati hypermotatd 821 SP 2013

In the UK, I bought my 2013 HS for £6K several years ago and the prices still seem to be around or slightly below that now. Don't confuse what sellers ask for with the price they sell at!

    My 2015 Red Hyperstrada

Thanks Brad, It seems I've been around this discussion before and come to the conclusion that I'm already on the best seat for me. "Discussion closed" I said in the final post of the subject you linked-to but, like most of us I guess, I'm always interested in improvements. Perhaps I should try...

    My 2015 Red Hyperstrada

Thanks for your comments, Brad. Not knowing your height (I'm 5'6"), the most telling point is that your HS is the low version whereas my HS is the original 2013 tall one. It would be a help to see the OEM seat and racing one pictured together to understand where the differences are. I reckon...

    My 2015 Red Hyperstrada

So what difference did the racing seat make? Is it as comfortable on the bum as the OEM one? I can see it gives more room to slide back so the riding triangle is more relaxed but unless the flatness is simply due to a reduction in the pillion section, I presume the rider's section is narrower...

    Is 2013 Hyperstrada 821 suitable for 6ft6 (197cm) rider?

kzl, Good luck with your quest and let us know how you get on with joining the Ducati cognescenti!

    Is 2013 Hyperstrada 821 suitable for 6ft6 (197cm) rider?

The standard HS is rather close-coupled, seat to bars, even for me at 5'6". However, it is possible to rotate the 'bars forward a bit, and the flatter racing seat would probably allow you to sit higher and further back. I've not changed my seat because the bike is plenty high enough already for me!

    My 2015 Red Hyperstrada

I guess it depends on what you are going to use your HS for, but the best tidying of the tail IMO is to remove all the luggage supports. I also fitted CF HM tail panels and it looks very sleek, even with the OEM plate and indicator supports still proudly jutting out!

Hypermotard/Hyperstrada MRA Double Bubble Windscreen Mini Review

Screens mostly suck if you're after a quiet ride; something I also learned long ago because naked bikes are so much quieter in general. Maybe rider body shape/height is too variable for most designers of screens to even consider the likely airflow from the chunks of plastic they stick on the...

    My 2015 Red Hyperstrada

I'm impressed that this is your first real bike! Time was when something much more modest was the expectation for new riders. Each to his own, I guess, but every tail-tidy I've ever seen is a mess and is a poor substitute for the version designed in keeping with the rest of the bike. Bits of...

What Ducati motorcycle are you most thankful for?

I'd agree that the 916 was/is a stunning bike, but one I was never involved with personally. The first Ducatis that caught my attention were the exquisite singles way back when I was barely out of school. As a biking returner in later life, the one to hook me was the Pantah with that beautiful...
