A good idea! You might want to add that the HS is such a compact design, especially compared with the Multistrada, that access to components is not very easy; an opinion held by very experienced Ducati mechanics!

Can anyone tell me how long things like chains, sprockets, wheel bearings and brakes last in conditions as shown above? I'd hate to do something like that to a Ducati!

Glad to hear you found the cause! I understand there are several adjusters on the clutch actuation/cable but have never needed to do more than tweak the cable at the 'bar lever on mine. Anyway, enjoy your tricky little HS again; they are worth the effort!
