    Another Exhaust Flapper/Servo Thread

I'll be interested to hear objective assessments of the benefit of removing the flapper/servo. Since I mostly ride quite sedately and value the over-run deceleration, I doubt I would benefit from doing this. IMO the exhaust is very adequately loud and characterful on tickover, and beyond that my...

    Removing Factory Handlebar Spacers

I've just been looking up the meaning of the US term of putting 'English' on a cue ball. It's obviously in common usage across The Pond, and it may be that we over here originated the technique of putting what we call 'side' on the cue ball to make it swerve or generally do weird things. Other...

New User: Center Stand Issue (Hard to mount)!

That's weird. My 2013 lifts onto the stand with just my light weight. In fact it's the easiest lift I've ever encountered! Experience with other bikes shows that raising or lowering the suspension can make a difference to the angle the stand meets the ground, and it can thus take less or more...

    Removing Factory Handlebar Spacers

Two countries separated by a single language, or something like that! First of all, I should reassure you I go in via the door with an M on it, and then point out that pool isn't our national game, billiards or snooker is. Now if you'd said it meant being a bit left-field rather than boringly...

    Front fender extender….

I wonder how many orders Pyramid would need to make another batch? Perhaps someone who wants one should ask them.

    Front fender extender….

I've got a CF one like that on mine. Pretty sure it would have been me that bought it, though I can't find a receipt. I think there'd be a market for these if someone produced them on a limited basis, even if they were just ABS plastic or GFRP. Naked Ducatis are ridiculous for their lack of...

    Removing Factory Handlebar Spacers

Sounds like there's locking stuff on the threads, or corrosion. If there is Loctite on the threads, the usual answer is heat to soften it. It'd be difficult to get it close to where it's needed, though a hot-air gun played on those spacer shafts might help. Some type of impact tool might work...

2014 Hyperstrada 821 Head Light Problems

It doesn't sound like the same silly business as when I forgot where the hi/lo switch is! The most obvious answer is that the low beam filament of the H4 bulb has blown. Simple solution, at least... Nick

    General Introduction

Wellcome indeed, GPbikes. Only thing I know about Deeks is that they were reckoned to be the loudest bikes racing at the time. Maybe they were more like a pulse-jet! Nick

Do you have a full-on side view of your bike? No need for fancy props! :) Cheers, Nick

And another lewd scam from niswyn096. Who's letting these people in? Someone must know who runs this forum, surely? Nick

Well, I rather like your stickering! I have some graphite grey plastic I used on kitchen unit plinths, so might have a go with that. Dunno if I can cut it neatly though... Nick

    Hyperstrada Photo Thread

Killjoy, (odd name for a 'Strada rider!) That black flash on the sides of the tank: is it original or aftermarket, do you know?

    Scammer alert!

I don't know whether we have a resident moderator to check credentials and posts, but a 'member' called adoralen449 has just sent me a personal email advertising her nude photos. If this was a genuine 'Strada rider and was nice, I might open the link, but I doubt it'd be to my advantage... Nick

    Ok, so round 2…..

I hesitate to disagree with my betters, but the problem with the clutch lies in the plate-pack, so address that and you have an excellent action with the original cable release. Hydraulic may be sweeter, but the big difference comes with adding a bit of give in the plate take-up, as with all...

    Touring Windscreen

Ah, OK, I've got one of those already instead of the OEM clear screen, which was too noisy for me. I have no problem with the small CF one at any speed but I suppose wind pressure would become tiring on a long ride. I thought you were talking about cowls on the sides of the bike, hence my...

    Touring Windscreen

What are the 'smaller Hyper cowls'? Sounds like something I should investigate! I've already got CF Hyper rear panels instead of the luggage options on my HS.
