Hello.

Is a problem with 14T front sprocket for Hyperstrada?

Or it works good?

I had problems with rev limiter.. Is it possible?

Do you have 14T front sprocket?

Thanks.

Ok, seriously, there should be no pb to mount a 14T front sprocket. What do you call "pb with rev limiter"?

I have installed a 14t sprocket as I found it too highly geared. It revs about 7% faster but unless you plan on revving it out in top gear it should not cause a problem. I did not notice any increase in Fuel consumption.

The problem with 14T sprocket:

1st gear max. 8500 rpm
2nd gear max. 9000 rpm
3rd - 6th gear was all ok, max. 10500 rpm.

I dont know, how you call rpm limiter??

Now, with 15T is all ok. I dont know, where is the problem..

Maybe will be ok with 14-47?

Thanks. And max rpm on 1st and 2nd gear??

Could be a break-in setting? How many miles do you have on yours, Petta?

I would never wind any bike all the way to redline in first or second. Too hard on the drivetrain!

I have 9000 km.
I spoke with a guy from hypermotardclub with Hyperstrada Z47 rear and
he has the same problem, i think..

I need someone with 14T or Z47 and his experience.

If you know someone with this change, please, let me know..

I have never found the need to to hit the rev limiter so don't know. I would say "adequate".

The reason I installed the 14th sprocket was to make it more manageable in traffic and on dirt roads. If all you do is blast around the country side it is probably not necessary.

Thanks.
But on the track is a problem. Now, i have in 2nd gear 1500 rpm less..
Please, let me know, if you try limiter in 1st or 2nd gear..

And rev limiter in 1st and 2nd gear?

Confirmed by the guy with 47T rear, he has less max. rpm in first and second..

How is that possible?

Has anyone actually tried going up to a 16 tooth front to knock the gearing back a bit.
We tend to ride fairly long straight roads over here so a few less revs would be a bonus.
I don't expect that the top speed would really increase as a lot of BHP is needed to increase top speeds.

On the track i am very close to rev limiter and now i have 1500 rpm less. That is a little problem..
