Alternator inspection cover

I have bought a Ducabike Alternator Inspection cover.

I note it has an O ring seal, which is obviously to create a seal to prevent fluid loss - can I remove the OEM cover and fit the Ducabike cover without losing oil?

Yes you should be able to, that cover is half way up the case and it might dribble a bit so have a rag handy but no gushing of oil out the hole.
