Anyone try different seats? I want to sit back about 2"

I love the Hyperstrada. I still feel myself sitting as far back as possible. I will never ride 2 up. Has anyone replaced the seat? Ideally, I would like to be 2" or so closer to the rear of the bike. I am 6' 180... Not a big fellow, just wish I was sitting back a bit.
Thanks in advance.

Have you tried out the stock Hypermotard seat? I hated it, but YMMV. You might try to find a used one and have it modified.

Hyperstradahopeful got a custom seat. It looks good and can probably be molded to your liking.

I use the stock hypermotard seat when I ride solo. Feels better I think. Makes it easier to sit farther back.

I will give that a look. Makes sense a single seat would sit farther back. With all the bikes I have owned, I have never bought a costom seat. I was also curious if someone had bought a Corbin or Seargent seat.

I have a friend who cut the foam out of his strada to sit further back, feels okay but looks a but messy since none of the seams match where the contour of the seat moves, I'd try a motard seat first.

Journey and Race Seat

I have the Journey and it made my legs tired. It was forcing them apart instead of allowing them to relax. I got the race seat and like it so far. Its material has great traction. I am 6'2" 200lbs

Want more arm room or leg room? Removing the risers might lengthen the reach to the bars just enough to accomplish the same thing?

I have the same problem as you, 6'2". I just got the Ducati Racing Seat and it solved my problem. It doesn't have the "Step" in the seat so you can move back as much as you like. The few extra inches of space makes a huge difference.

I paid around $360 for it and it took three weeks to get it in from Italy but, it was well worth the price and wait time. Took it for a 50 mile test ride last night and I am very happy with it. Plus, it looks awesome.

Hope that helps.

Can you list the part number, please?

Is the Ducati racing seat still pretty padded? The description says that it positions the rider more forward, which I think is the opposite of what I would want. Compared to the hyperstrada stock seat, are you good for long rides?

Does the racing seat have same mounting hardware? Like, just a stock seat with different skin/padding?

Got my Ducati racing seat today (code 96880082A). Here you can see some photos in comparison with the stock seat.
Just rode 5 km so I can't say much yet.
My first impressions are:
  • The racing seat is harder than the stock seat (I can feel my sitting bones very slightly) yet not uncomfortable as it is shaped rounder.
  • You can move easier (in all directions) and feel the bike better on the racing seat compared to the stock where you are more passively 'locked' in your position.
  • You sit a bit higher on the racing seat and do not have the back support of the stock seat. Thus you feel a bit more sitting 'on' the bike.
I like it so far!

Did you say back support on the stock seat??? I don't feel like I have any....The racing seat looks like it would provide it because its cupped rather than straight across.

It'd be nice if Ducati or another aftermarket company made a real touring seat for this bike. Something like a HD sundowner, thats comfy but can also absorb some vibrations.
