Brake Lever difference between standard Hyper and SP

Hey guys I have a quick question for you SP owners out there. I recently bought some cheap levers from ebay to adjust the brake lever closer to the bar. When I went to install the brake side lever it did not fit, as the stock lever utilizes a little plunger to push the master cylinder. The new lever has no plunger and no place to re-use the plunger from the stock lever. I contacted the seller and he said the levers I bought were for the SP. The ebay set I bought has a large machined block that looks like it would just press up against something, idk if that style is similar/same for the SP or if its just is different from the hypermotard altogether. I can put some pictures up later today to help. But let me know your thoughts as i need to know if I can get these levers returned or not. Thanks!

So that means they are different? I believe I simply ordered the wrong part. i.e. SP lever will not fit standard hypermotard and vice versa?

Yeah that's correct. Completely different.

I have been really happy with these Rizoma RRC adjustable levers.

Thanks kuksul, that graphic is very informative. I think you answered my question!

I bought a cheap set of ebay levers for my CBR back in the day and they worked fine(even though everyone said they are crap and could make the front brake lock up). They did fade quite fast though, turned from black to gray in a matter of months, you get what you pay for. I recently bought a set of adjustable levers for my Strada from Evotech and couldn't be happier with them!

I have been asking around on the Facebook groups for months about the SP master cylinder piston diameter. Can someone please post what the piston diameter is to that pump,it is usually cast/embossed into the bottom side of the body it's self. I have seen 2 different answers via searching but I would like clarity. 13mm or 15mm or other?
