Please don't mention it to anyone, but my 'Strada won't be legally back on the road until May 1st, but I snuck out for a ride on it today. What a great bike! So alive and eager! I'm a devotee of the Touring engine map for its civility at low speeds, but a few degrees more throttle twist and the thing really takes off. And no need to investigate the higher rev range either for very brisk riding. It behaved immaculately on what was my first ride in virtually 12 months, what with jobs to do on it and the Covid lockdowns. And the bike is comfortable too, unlike the various Monsters I've tried to love before. The last one was a blue/white stripe S4R, and handsome though it was, I never bonded with it.

The Hyperstrada 821 is so good, it's no surprise Ducati stopped making them...

Ha! I feel absolutely the same here... and I also had the blue/white (and also never quite bonded with it). That being said, I do miss how the S4R looks, 'twas a gorgeous bike...

Hear you, took out for a test ride, 200 miles later I gave him a $1K down and rode it home the next day, put a feeler out to sell, then rode again, now I can't sell it...it's that good, I'm just fixing the stuff I don't like or trust...
