Cannot wait for a test ride.

I am very, very interested in the Hyperstrada. I love the Hypermotard, and all the mid sized Ducatis, and would love something that has that grunt with a comfy seat and touring capability. I have had several adventure bikes and I currently ride a Street Triple R. I doubt I would trade that in, because it has so much to love.

Does anyone know the date of availability of this Hyperstrada in his area
At my place, it should be late march.
Who will have the opportunity to ride it first??

I too can't wait to see/sit on this bike, let alone test ride it. It seems like the perfect bike. I can't even sleep some nights...

I am at the top of the waiting list and my dealer is saying April delivery. But they don't have confirmation at this point. I suspect the date is the same for all North America.

My Dealer tells me April as well. I can't wait, I go to the dealer every couple weeks with a few hundred dollars that I've saved and put down towards my purchase. Hopefully by the time it gets here it will be mostly paid for.

Dealership told me march but ducati has a 30day window. That could push it back until april. Dealer said everyone with deposits will get much higher priority. Nothing for any show rooms until people with deposits are taken care of.

Now I'm really glad I put 4 grand down on my Hyperstrada back in November. My dealership is only getting two [plus two hypermotards] and I've heard that both Hyperstradas have already presold.

What color Frank?

At first I didn't care [I thought it would add to the fun to wait and see] but after a few weeks, I decided to claim the red one. The white model looks fantastic, but there's no denying that "Ducati Red" is iconic :)

BUMP...this thread has a good title. Would love to read everyone's test ride-related impressions here if you make it to your dealer's release and/or ride a demo this weekend!

I rode one today and put a deposit down on it. What an incredibly fun bike. Only problem is that I am a giant. 6'5 or 6 and 300 lbs. trying to make up my mind now.

Plenty of power even short shifting at 5,500. Very nimble even at 400 lbs. feels tossible. Seat riser for the pillion could be back another inch or so.

Current bike is a gixxer 1000. Hard core track bike with super stiff Ohlins. Makes the HS feel so nice.

Tomorrow is decision day. Riding a Triumph explorer then will decide. Triumph looks my size buy the hperstrada is so much fun.
