Check Engine Light - on for 10 seconds after starting

I suspect this has something to do with the way I've disconnected the exhaust flapper, as it seems to go off the first time I close the throttle after first moving away from standstill after I start the bike.

I've never seen in come on outside of these conditions. Has anyone else experienced this?

I wonder if it is due to the cable becoming snagged as I did't fully remove it. Now that it's out of warranty I will but I'm incredibly short on time lately.

Is it true that you can pull the entire servo and cable without the bike throwing a CEL?

I have disconnected my flapper both mechanically and then unplugged it. Never once got a light or error on the dash.

Thanks guys. Is the cable reasonably easy to remove completely?

I tell ya, I've really come to dislike exhaust flappers, absolute PITA. They cause me (metaphorical) headaches.

I removed mine completely just to clean it up and give one less thing to fail. It doesn't weigh much so you won't even notice it.
