Volo Lights Plate Holder

Pretty cool reactive plate specifically for bikes and EV's that brake without using brakes much. I normally only tap brakes in traffic to get the box following me's attention.

I ordered the Volo module yesterday, as the plate holder is the wrong size for the plates here in Thailand. Expected delivery end July.

I cross my fingers I get it and it works as intended.

Anyone else using this product?

I do the same thing - tapping the brakes. This looks like a good idea.

I found Vololights on the manufacture's site - Products - Vololights: Enhanced Motorcycle Visibility

I think that I would like to order the plate frame instead of the module since it only needs to have constant 12v power wired to it when it is on and doesn't need to be wired in to the factory lights.

Just ordered one - it's a great idea if it works right - especially on the highway where there's so much going on I sometimes forget to tap the rears.

Seems like a simple enough design. No telling how long the accelerometers will hold up to vibes from the tail, however.

Getting ready to install but 2 things:

Access to the rear brake wires is not so easy - if you take a look at the single piece of plastic under the fender you'll see what I mean.

More importantly: as a canbus bike you don't want to use these wires - see vololight FAQ. I'm going to run from the under fender DIN socket. I'll lose one but I have 2.
The alternative is running from a fuse block, but I'm not interested at the moment, and can always change later.
