Corbin Seat?

I put a corbin on my R6 many years ago. Looking at the photo, you'll probably have the same gripe I did: those high bolsters outboard of the butt cheeks just kill movement in turns. Good cruising down the road but, if you get in to twisties or like getting her over in a turn, you'll just get hung up on that side bolster. Wouldn't be bad to swap in for long rides. I hated it on my R6 and the way I ride my Strada would be equally disappointing.

Thanks for the feedback

Lets hope Sargent Seats does something

Corbin...

Not yet, but I have one on order... I have been pestering Corbin, regularly asking when they were going to make on for the 2013 HyperS.
I have a Corbin on my Triumph Tiger 1050... And love it. I hated the seat on the HyperS from day 1. I do some pretty long tours 6,000 - 8,000 km trips each summer, always on the Tiger, and since i got the HyperS, because of the Stock seat. Only do weekenders on the HyperS because of the stock seat.... The Corbin "should" elevate the HyperS for more touring use.:)

Let us know your thoughts on the Corbin when its fitted on your Hyper.

Any pictures or rants & ravings about the Corbin Seat ? I need something that I can slide back off the tank some . Jusy feel too crapped and after a while riding I have pain across the top of my butt crack area . I have been looking at the Racing Seat also . Thanks for any feedback .

I went ahead and ordered join a few weeks ago. Once I get it in, I'll provide my opinion and pictures. I had a Corbin on my FZ6 a few years ago and really liked it. For the most part, I like the stock seat. I do not, however, like the slight forward canting of the pelvis and I am hoping that the Corbin will solve that issue.

It is a lot of money to spend on something that not many people have given their input on and cannot be returned, but YOLO (haha).

I have the Corbin seat in all black. Very stiff at first, but like anything, has to be broken in. Have close to 1,000 miles on it and it gets more comfy every time I ride it.

is this normal height or do they make a low seat version ?

I'd love to hear some more input on this after more miles have been logged on. Im interested in getting the corbin seat too.

Yea, I kept it for about 1000 miles. It was better that stock with regard to movement, as in it did not lock you in one spot so much. It is very firm, but not necessarily uncomfortable. I ended up selling it because I am not sure that I will keep the hyperstrada and wasn't 100% happy with the seat by it self. Just an FYI, the guy I sold it to did have some fitment issues (he had a 2015) but I haven't heard anything from him in awhile so hopefully they got resolved.

Perhaps the low model is slightly different?

Anyways, ultimately it wasn't for me.

I just got a beautiful Corbin seat but unfortunately it will not fit on the bike. It is just too long and will not latch. This is even with the tab removed.

Oh well I guess I will return it :(

Update, Corbin being the great company that I believe them to be after having dozens of their seats, happily paid for the shipping back to the factory and will modify the seat for me to fit, hopefully. :D

I know they have done a lot of these seats and still wonder why it would not fit on my bike. Did I get the short model. Just kidding.

All will be well and the bike will be much more comfortable.

Those saying the seats are too hard, well yes they are hard as a brick. But you know what? After riding for a long day my butt don't hurt.
