Want to add the 699 to the garage

Comming from a panigale v4, and want to know if the 698 have any heat issues? Like the panigale has.

Want to use it a lot more on the streets and want to know how comfortable is it

I'm sure it runs cooler than a v4 but the bike will get uncomfortably hot in gridlock. Highway cruising engine temp floats around 75 C (165 F) with air temp around 25-30 C (78-85 F), but it quickly ramps to 105 C (220 F) and the fan comes on when stuck at a long red light.

Thanks man

Yes I know the bike gets hot, but does it start burning you? Like the v4 does? Or do you only see it on the dash and fan?

My inner thigh (exhaust side) has gotten hot enough to make me drive on the shoulder, past angry cagers. If your stuck in traffic long enough, the entire bike will begin to heat up and re-radiate, and the various plastics and/or powdercoat will begin to smell.

I do wonder whether the engine's various acoustic shields are aggravating heat buildup. Makes me think about stripping that shit off.
