Does your HS honk?

Sometimes while my HS is sitting there, it lets out a short and low "honk" kind of like a goose or something. I know it sounds ridiculous, but I've heard it on at least to HS now. It's frequency is not consistent and I'm pretty sure it is from the horn.

I don't think I have heard it honk when I have it plugged into the Battery Tender.

Prove me right or crazy! LOL

That's interesting. I've owned a M696, Hypermotard and a 1100 evo before my HS and I've never heard this sound.

Are there conditions that would cause my Duc to make this sound more often than at other times?

My HS sounds like a cow....

There are no special conditions,,,,, just smile when it does.

I call it my Duc quacking, and I'm also a little skeptical it's fuel pressure, my hyper hasn't started or had its key turned on in at least two months, but very occasionally I still hear it. This is about the 4th thread started about this noise and everyone else has it happen too.

It's not direct fuel pressure. It's vapor pressure. You don't need to move your bike for it to happen. Pressure can build up with temperature changes. If you slosh the fuel around a bit, it should also cause a slight build up of pressure. My 1100 did this all the time coming from the hot outside into the cool garage.

I usually leave my bike outside to cool off before I put it away, but recently I brought it in hot and heard it fart...pretty funny, really. It talks to me!
