Can anyone tell me how long things like chains, sprockets, wheel bearings and brakes last in conditions as shown above? I'd hate to do something like that to a Ducati!

I wonder about ingress of contaminants to the timing belt housing. Other then this photo, i haven't seen any images as to how sealed the houseing is. I know my 939 is not a sealed unit.

I've had the timing belt housing briefly submerged a few times on my bike at water crossings, no issues so far. I suspect the chain and sprockets would far as well as any ADV bikes.

The cover does say 'Desert' on it rather than the plain cover of the Multi.
You would like to think they thought about it . . .
