Ducati excessories

So i joined the ranks yesterday and bought a brand new 2013 hyperstrada. Went in thinking of the 2014 but my dealer took $1000 off and gave me 1000$ towards anything that says ducati on it. My question is what would you do with 1000$ 'ducati dollars'.
Im pretty set up as far as gear goes, I would rather get a non-descript cover than a ducati one and most of the other accessories they sell for the hyper i either dont want or are ridiculously priced.
Im considering the termi exhaust but i dont really like the look and i would have to through in more than 1000$ cash on top. Im also considering paddock stands, the license plate holder kit and the carbon instrument panel protector(just to clean up the bike)
any thoughts?

Since there is zero storage space under the seat, I can't go anywhere without a tank bag. The Ducati one is pricey but generously sized and matches the bike perfectly, especially the white version.

The heated grips are popular oop north, and they integrate into the bike seamlessly. They are also a pricey "excessory..."

If you're going to commute or travel heavy, I'd get the Top Box package. I think it's almost $900 and matches the side bags. You'll get the rear accessory plate to mount many other things on back and it has a little backrest for 2up.

My 2nd choice would be a set of leathers, as I really want to track my bike eventually and I think most tracks require full leathers. I'm sure a grand wouldn't cover a full Ducati race suit, though.

I would consider the Termi, but you may have noticed the Strada is pretty throaty with the stock tube. And after 5500 miles, I still don't think "Man, if only I had more mid-range torque..." But mostly I think all the aftermarket pipes I've heard (only on youtube, mind you) are too loud, especially since I fire mine up in the garage very early and don't want to piss off the entire block. Getting a Termi for almost free is tempting, even if you kept it in the box to slap on down the road when you get bored or just for resale. Hell, turn around and sell it and almost get your money back.

I like the idea of the tank bag for sure. They also have a tire repair kit that looks alright as well as a decent outdoor cover that looks like it doesnt say ducati on it. I'm thinken about the paddock stands now as well so i can take the center stand off and to take both wheels off to take them in for tire change. Anyone know if you can even take the wheels off using the ducati paddock stands though? it looks like at least the rear one hooks into the axle

I always thought I would use the center stand and wood blocks or jack stands to stabilize the frame and remove wheel(s). I see no need for paddock stands with the center stand.

kinda what i was thinking about the paddock stands as well...a bit of a waste of 560$ if you can just use center stand and blocks

I changed my own tires a couple of months ago. I have a cheapie front stand (similar ones are 50 bucks on fleabay) for which I made an adapter to fit the giant hole in the bottom of the Strada's steering stem. See pics. I have an old lathe, used a piece of aluminum bar I had, but I think I could make it more easily out of HMW PE like I used to make my bar end sliders.

The bottom flange keeps the stand off the beak, and I added a bit of (grey) foam to protect the fender. With the stock centerstand this is a totally stable setup, no wobbly blocks or hanging from a hook in the ceiling. I used it again when I R&R'ed the forks for the revalving; it stood there safely for two weeks. We do get the occasional earthquake here...

I could even sell them, for maybe $20? Any interest? I'd need the diameter of the pin on your stand.

Don't forget the tool to adjust you're chain, it's less then $30 bucks but its free now, I'd have the heated grips for sure, and you may still have the cash for an awesome lid or something, besides that the only ducati accessory I've really wanted are the arms from the top case kit $100 for a custom top case and oil filters

I didnt realize you need a tool for chain adjustment....cant just use wrenches or something i guess?
