Im growing a little bit impatient here without much information on my hyperstrada, It so happens that my dealer has the worst customer service as they have not given me any information about the bike and im just going with the helpful infomation provided in this forum.

Is the email with the vin number sent directly from ducati or is sent by the dealer?

Has anyone in the US received the email with the VIN number?

I don't think anyone in the US has received a VIN for the strada yet. You should get it from the dealer not the factory. I keep in contact with my dealer and earlier this week my sales guy said they should be receiving the vin soon. The wait is killing all of us.:D

No vin, but I know my pre-order info is registered with Ducati...as I now get their newsletter and other spam. I stopped pestering my dealer, but I honestly don't know how he can only know "sometime in April".

The kid on Christmas Eve feeling is kind of exciting for an older dude, though

I have never got an email with VIN before. I pre-ordered my 2010 Multistrada, and it arrived about a week before what my dealer had been telling me all along. No email, just a phone call saying, "it's here".

My dealer is telling me 3rd week of April, so I see no reason to expect that not to be true....I hope, maybe a week early again???

Be patient guys (Ok, I'm a bit favored because my bike is by my dealer) but I got also my information from this forum and from www.
Only an e-mail last friday that the bike was deliverd.

Good to know, because all Ive heard from my dealer is "we dont know".. How is it even possible that most of the dealers have some information and ducati of Miami does not.

Yeppp...the uncertain delivery date. It's part of the reason I went with the Hypermotard. I still remain on this forum because of the "spirit" of the Hyperstrada: a Hypermotard with enough comforts to allow for moderate touring, and that's still my goal for sure :) I will definitely add the engine guard and passenger grab bars and possibly the comfort seat...all in all, I still think the Hyperstrada is a great bike, but I've seen "May" too many times in reviews regarding the delivery date, so I went with the 'motard.

That's in Belgium not the problem because the strada's and the Hypermotard were here at the same time. I think one of the main reasons overhere is the fact that Ducati started a "Desmoriding tour" (23/3 - 28/08)where you have the possibility to do demo runs at your local dealer with the M696, Diavel, Multistrada Gran Turismo, Streetfighter 848 AND the Hyperstrada.
