Hi all, does anyone know what the torque settings are for the engine bolts
Item 8 77914842B SCREW, SPECIAL.

See the attached picture.

I have purchased the bike tower and need the replace the nut with a fitment for the tower once I have turned the bolt around.

Cheers

I've been poring over the frame tightening torque table and I think this is the relevant entry. Can anyone confirm?

Nitram,
Let us know how your experience with the bike tower goes.

I purchased the bike tower for winter storage so I could get the tyres off the ground and unload the suspension. Also I have little space in the garage so the bike sits in front of a tumble dryer and freezer and so I have to move the bike around on a regular basis. This meant moving the bike forwards and back many times to move it out of the way. So now I can just pull the bike around while still covered, although it stills requires a little effect as my garage floor is not as smooth the one on the bike tower video. This now has given me more room as I can push into a tighter space.

First before you can use it you need to move the engine bolt around so the bolt screws into the sleeve. Be aware that the frame drops around 5 to 6mm and you need the lift the bike up from the rear to aline the holes to get the bolt back through. Then thread the sleeve onto the pin and tighten the bolt into the sleeve. The sleeve does stick out from the frame a little when fitted.

Then the next bit is trial and error, as you have to get the fixing plate at the correct height. It has to be lower than the sleeve so you can lift and twist the tower into position so it slots into place missing the foot peg. (See the video on the bike tower website).

Bike-Tower: Ducati Hyperstrada

My Hyperstrada is the low version and I think because of this I am not able to reduce the height setting on the final position as much as a standard model. I think as the plate is 20mm lower than needed for the standard model it reduces the tolerances of adjustment but this is only a guess as I have nothing to compare with.

Overall it does everything I wanted it too.
