favorite Ducati from the 1990's?

I got a test ride on a 851 back then, thought it steered like a truck....

The Strada is my first Ducati in >40 years.
Really? The 851 remains one of the most nimble ducati superbikes in my experience. Light years easier to turn than the 916 et al. The monster was 851 derived and also very flickable.

My favorite from that decade would have to be the monster 900. But it was a great period for their designers. Tough call.

I would have to say my favorite is the 94 900SS/CR, which I still happen to have. :D

Marc, I really like the looks of the 900 SS CR too. In fact, I still have a red '94 that looks just like this, and it is for sale.... !! Main difference from the above photo is mine has a stainless Staintune exhaust. What should I ask for my bike?.... any thoughts?

Unfortunately they have not held their value well or become collectors pieces. :(

If possible hang onto it for a few more years and hopefully the price will go up.

I have seen them here locally for $3K up to $5K

For example I paid $3K for this one and it had just had a full service, new tires, new studs, high comp pistons, Kiehn flat slides, Ohlins rear shock, lightened flywheel, lower gearing, Sargent seat, Forza exhaust, and upon inspection is in immaculate condition. 20K miles and running stronger than the day it was built. I think I got a deal :D

I would check around on craigs list and see what is fair for your area.

I lusted over the original M900 monster, but my favourite was the supermono. What a beauty.
