Givi Specific Plate for Hyperstrada

Awww yea! Top Case time! This case is way bigger than I would have liked on the bike, but it honestly doesn't look to bad. I think that is mostly because the color scheme goes so well with the bike.

Givi Monokey V47 Tech (HUUUUGE enough for 2 full face helmets.)

I'm pretty happy with it! Using it to go out to Indy GP. Maybe I'll see some of you guys there!

Somewhere on the site there's another thread about support rods and plates. I bought the mounting rods for the HS and the mounting plate for the Multistrada(which fits all Givi Monokey cases). I then mounted my old V46 Givi Monokey and can safely say I have exceeded the 6kg weight limit.

The MS plate fit just fine with only a little fiddling with the 2 rear screw to the support rods. I used some nylon washers to shim out the space so that excessive downforce was not applied to the plate when the bolts were tightened.

hmm I do not see the advantage through my 50L bag from ortlieb which is also water resistant.
Only that it is better with a passenger.

Just purchased this rack from Revzilla. Of course the obligatory $50 more for the Ducati version, but it looks like it will allow me to use my top box from the Multistrada. Not sure why anyone would buy the ducati top box.

I would never load that case up too far beyond the 12 pound limit - it will make the bike unstable at high speeds. And I carry a simple retractable cable lock for my helmet. Plus a plastic bag if it rains.

However there is one feature of that setup that makes me a customer...it's how the front mounting points are lowered to keep the trunk level. That gives the Wifey more butt room. She will definitely like that!

Multistrada Top box on my Hyperstrada

Fortunate enough to have both and with the GIVI mounting plate I can interchange the box on either bike. Only problem is the key from the Multi has to be used of course. I may just get a cheap blank and have another cut. It seems very sturdy and color matched looks good.

That does look really nice!
Glad to see someone else rocking the V47! I love mine as well. Is it me or is your HS silver?
My bike is brushed titanium.

Tito, I was at the givi shop and took a look at the v47 box like yours. I wasn't on my bike and without having the chance to fit on to look at it, it looks huge just by itself.

Mind if I ask for a few takes from you?

1) if not wrong the givi monokey bracket can only old 6kg of load, the case is probably around 3-4kg at least, how much weight do u usually carry, it fairs well?

2) having riden it for some time, do you think it is too huge? I want it on daily. For commuting.

Thanks .

Greetings from up North.

I put the Givi E55 maxi on my hyper using the SRA7403 Givi Hyperstrada plate. Has a lower and wider profile, can hold two helmets.

I only put on the bike when I am touring, so I do not use it on a daily basis. So far so good. No complaints.

Can take some pics and send you this evening if you would like to see.

i am a little late to the party, but i have a question for the community. i ended up buying and mounting the Givi Trekker 46L using the stock Givi plate for the Hyperstrada. As I was mounting it, i noticed the plate says it has a 13 pounds load limit?!? Given my box along with the seat foam weights about 9 pounds... that means i can load 4 pounds max into this 46L box?? What is the point of this plate made by Givi? Basically I am set to transport box full of packing foam... How did you guys mount your box? And are you guys able to actually feasibly use your top boxes? Thanks in advance for any tips and advice.

Dixie, did it come with the long support rods that connects and distributes the extra weight of the top box to the frame (runs under seat and to the luggage mounts)?

Dixie I am using the Givi V46 with the Givi mount for the Hyperstrada here in Bangkok. The mounting plate part number from Givi is SRA7403. Is that the mount you are using? If so I have had no problems, carrying two helmets, cameras, other misc stuff. No signs of strain on any of the mounts. Been using it for a year now.

Thanks for the prompt response. The plate I got is the one with the 2 metal rods tied to the bottom of the panniers rack. I had to replace the 2 bolts with longer ones and spacers. I think the number is Givi-SRA7403.

The new box:

Looks huge from the back...
