and the radiator fans keep running. The motorcycle does not respond to the start button ... your help is really needed!

That's an excellent writeup; thanks for that!
I'm glad to say I've covered all the points mentioned, apart from checking whether mine got fitted with the dealer canbus filter. Hopefully the Eldor coils and ferrite chokes on the cables will keep the ECU safe.

Thanks Nick! It was pretty much the first article i bookmarked when researching these beasts. It certainly stuck in my mind.
