How many miles do you ride a year?

I'm embarrassed to say I only average 1,000 miles a year it would seem. I've had my Hyperstrada a year now and have only put 1,000 miles on the odometer. :(

I really love it, but I guess I just love driving my convertible more (don't have to put on all the gear and much safer).

How many miles do you guys ride? I'm guessing there's got to be a few guys in here who do 10K miles or more a year?

I generally get about 10 - 12K miles annually, most of it commuting on my DR650 with the rest on the Hyperstrada. The Hyper is more fun on the road, but I try to avoid bad weather or salted roads, that's what the Suzuki is for.

I don't ride around town much, and I have my kids on the weekend while my wife works, so I don't get to ride much. I do take 1-2 week long trips a year that are usually around 2K miles. So for right now, I get about 4-5K a year total. I hope that will increase, but probably not until my kids get older.

I dunno, a couple thousand a year, getting lazy and old, got a convertible about a month ago, haven't even looked at my bike since. It's so much easier not to put all my gear on. It's sort of like a bike….sort of. I've put over 700 miles on my car just driving around which usually would have gone on my bike. I walk to work so 700 miles in a month is a lot for me. It's sort of like a bike….sort of but I'm going out and riding around the block on my bike, thanks for reminding me.

If I continue at the present rate I will travel about 15000 miles this year. This is all pleasure and mainly on weekends.

Last year I put about 11000 on a S2R 1000. The Hyper is a lot more comfortable for me over long distances, so I'll probably wind up with even more on that one.

about 2000kms a year.
when I used my former bike to go to work with, I averaged about 10k kms

About 5000 km / year, but would be more if i could use it more than 6 month a year.
Drinving in snow/Ice and salt is not that fun and that leavs me with about 6 month to ride.

Haha! I LOL'd! Yeah, a convertible in some ways spoils the motorcycle experience. In a lot of ways it's like a motorcycle, but without having to put on all the gear and a lot safer.

I put 20,000 miles on my hyper in one year.

Some of you guys are CRA-ZAY! I don't even drive more than 5,000 miles a year in a CAR.

I'm starting to feel like I should sell my Hyper and get it in the hands of someone who will appreciate it more. Feel like my Hyper is in the garage weeping every day I don't drive it.

Since I'm technically only riding for 1 1/2 year so far my average mileage range in the 9000 miles / 15000 km. But I took deliverey of my bike way past half of the season. But if I look at last year season only I've reached 14000 miles / 23000 km.

Can't wait to beat these figures. :D

I do somewhere around 7-8000 on average, but up until this time last year I lived in Wisconsin so I had a much shorter riding season. Now I live in Georgia and am within an hour of some of the best riding in the country - I expect I'll do more miles even though I'm not commuting as much as before - sitting in traffic with gear on a hot street triple on a hot atlanta summer day really sucks!

looking at a hyperstrada now - either that or my wife will pick up a 696 monster. she's ready for something a little better on longer trips than her cbr250r, and she likes the street triple quite a bit.

Here in Canada we only get 6 months of good riding a year, but my first summer I put on over 12000 km the first year. And only 6000 the next, it was a very busy summer, I had to bail on my big ride of the year, and my wife bought a convertable which seems to be a killer for ducati seat time in this group.
