I'm currently attempting to convert my Hyperstrada 821 Headlight and front fairing to one from the 950. I prefer the look of the front end of the new models, as well as the LED DRL. The front headlight housing support is mounted to the fork by 3 bolts, and is identical on both bikes.
I found a second hand 950 headlight on eBay for a great price, and was able to order the 950 front headlight support and all the required hardware from Ducati. I just received the 950 headlight and have run into my first compatibility challenge. The 821 headlight has 4 pins on the connector, and requires 12V 1W power. The 950 headlight on the other hand has a 5 pin connector, and has the power requirements posted on the back of the light as: DRL 13.6V 18.2W / FP 13.5v 1.8W
With that in mind, I'm curious what options I have to adapt the power delivery to meet the headlight's requirements, as well as the connector and cabling. I am experienced in soldering and am not concerned about wiring up a new 5 pin harness once I properly adapt the power requirements.
I've attached photos of the back of both lights, and any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
