Hyperstrada- Sunday Scratcher ?

OK to get serious.

I am not sure what year you are talking about but in 2014, which mine is, the Strada and Motard are the exact same bike almost. The Strada has bar risers, a taller wind screen, and luggage. Those are the only differences.

Unless you are talking about the Hypermotard SP in which case it has an upgraded suspension.

So yes they are basically the same. They are good fun for ripping around the countryside on a Sunday with your mates. Maybe even on a Saturday :D

Great stuff. Off to demo one. Oh wait a minute, they have stopped making them !

Anyone got a used 939 Strada they wanna sell me ?

Really don't want one of those 950 Multi`s.......uuurghhh......

i can go a lot faster on the hyper than my fireblade on country roads. To be honest i only keep my blade for when i go to the isle of man, as the hypers top speed is not fast enough for me on the mountain section , but its spot on for limited uk roads.

I am guessing the Hyper is pretty much finished at about 120mph ? Not that I have got one to go that fast.....

Yeah but that's irrelevant anyway. These things are for 50-70mph twisties, and some gentle 80mph touring......

gps or speedo ?

on speedo mine does 230 km/h (143 mph) and more.

on slovakiaring, at the end of start/finish straight, speedo shows between 222 and 225 km/h (140 mph) , depending on the curve before the straight ;).

but, these speeds are no fun. funnily enough these speeds are no problem on racetrack, quite stable because of the very low forward leaning.
same speeds on autobahn, where i sit a little more upright, it's quite unstable above 200 km/h.

Mine topped out at 125mph indicated, WFO fully tucked on straight flat ground. Held it there for 10 seconds, would not climb up.

Huh, that's low. Mine hit 138 indicated, and it was still climbing, albeit slowly. That was with bags, too!!

Perhaps it was the aero drag from the LED array? :D

Mine will hit 135 indicated at the end of a 1/4 mile straight that follows an 80 mph sweeping right. The MRA screen might add some drag, it's pretty big. It has been many years since I've been cited for speeding, as 80 is my usual max pace.

I once had a '98 R1. After a few years it got to where every time I took it out I could see lights...either of the E-room or the booking desk. Sold it to a friend. Lovely bike, though.
