Identifying fork manufacturer

Hi,
I was exploring fork upgrade options and sent an enquiry to Mupo italy . They wanted to know if my motorcycle has the Kayaba forks or not. Any pointers as to how to identify the fork manufacturer ? What other types of forks was the bike delivered with ?

My 2013 forks had to be taken apart and photos sent to Mupo. Ducati had three different versions in 2013.

So my only option is to open it up and wait till i get the new parts..... That seems unlikely seeing as the Hyperstrada is my main ride these days. There has got to be some other way of finding out... Does the date of manufacture have any bearing on this ?

I don't know. The guy that installed my Mupo fork cartridges had to send photos to Mupo to confirm which replacements would work. This guy is a Mupo expert too. He was told that Mupo wanted to have the forks sent to them for the installation.

Thanks for the feedback . Is it worth the hassle ? I ride mostly on urban roads and a fair amount of really bad country roads. Once a year the bike will do a longish ( 2000 mile ) road trip in the Himalayas ( all sorts of roads from non existent to perfect blacktops ). There will also be an occasional trackday on both a twisty motorcycle circuit and the F1 Buddh Int. Circuit too. I was considering the LCRR upgrade.

I will soon know 1st hand as my Hyper is ready to pick up.

The suspension expert sets up racers suspension for a living, traveling to Texas tracks. He has a lot of direct experience with Mupo and finds that it transforms a Ducati.

My first ride will probably be the beginning of November as my new knee isn't quite ready for that kind of use until then.

you might try posting this over at ducati.ms or whatever that huge ducati forum is. someone has to know the answer, just gotta get the question seen by them.
