I just completed my first Iron Butt 1000 on the weekend on the hyperstrada! The bike did amazing, it kept up and passed cars beautifully, the riding position allows you to stand up straight with no pressure on you're hands or arms, and the seat was great as it comes from Ducati. We had some troubles on the ride (we had a GSXR come) but we managed to get 1000mi (1609km) done in 23 hours!

Strong. I finally got a set of Grip Puppies and hope they help out. On my typical 100 mile days, the only problem I have is throttle hand going numb.

Gatdammit I had the same problem on my r6 on long rides. Have you tried a cramp buster or throttle rocker? I used mine all the time now!

Original Motorcycle Cruise Control - Crampbuster

I have the CB 1 and 2. I like the cb1 cause I can put it on the inside of the grip and use it as a thumb throttle as well

Sweet! I heard there were cheap cc options. My dealer said the digital throttle should mean electronic cc options down the road.

Has it ever hung up when you released throttle quickly and scared you?

Maybe some more cushy grips, and the cruise control n crampbuster. I like my bigger heated grips on my F and the Throttlemeister CC. I can use my pinky to change the tension.

This is also a neat one but have never tried it
The cramp buster has never hung up but it can make the bike a little jumpy when starting off but that's just to get used to.

The bike had no trouble on the trip, except for less then 20 minutes of rain and a wet cell phone. A GSX-R had a bad tire and it took us 2 hours to find and replace. A dual sport lost his tail light/licence plate. And some touring guys had to turn around and hit the twisty bits of our ride more then once
