That I have the low version! I typed in to see if my Hyperstrada was targeted by the throttle recall, and found out I had the lowered seat version. Hah. I had previously ridden the Hyperstrada when I rented it and thought mine felt a little lower but thought nothing of it.

I guess with the racing seat I can still barely two feet it, so maybe it's not the worst. I never get brake dive that people complain about so maybe that's why :p.

Either way, was pretty upset that my dealer never told me when I bought it.

End of rant.

Does the bike perform as you tought it would? Assuming it does....so what is the issue? Or have I missed something....

Is it a 2015? Think all the 2015's were low model; no more option.

2014, yeah. Interesting that they switched entirely to low now.

Yes, except for the front suspension and dragging brake/clutch levers (this is after 'stiffening' the rear shock)--but I've put on the Ducabike rearset. I've got an Andreani kit on order but had ordered the regular version instead of the low version, so now they need to swap that order. I guess that's the only problem. I don't really need the extra travel for offroading or jumping, so it doesn't really matter there. I suppose shorter travel is just as fine on a track.

How can you tell if it's lower? I wouldn't mind a higher seat. Maybe someone wants to trade?

Be interested to hear about the Andreani kit once it's in :)

The easiest way is to type your VIN into the Ducati's recall system, haha. Otherwise the clearance to the bottom of the belly-pan type thing is 7 inches on the standard and 6.3 inches on the lower suspension (which has 20mm less travel front/rear)

Oh man... I'm very excited. They have the "low" version in stock so it actually wasn't an issue. It'll be interesting with the low version, too, since it's a bit closer to normal street bike travel ranges. I'm going to get the sag/suspension professional setup too so, should be really nice. I rode a KTM SuperDuke and realized how damn compliant "motard-like" suspension should be. I realized then I had to get the Andreani kit.

Once it's installed... I'll let you know!
