Any Hyper owners going to Monterey in mid July to watch the Superbikes? I made the hotel reservation today. 3 nights at $300 per at the Best Western. I've stayed there several times and it's nice, but 300 nice? Yikes. Doesn't get much nicer than the Monterey Penninsula, though...and the run up 1 through the Big Sur is arguably the best 120 mile non stop run on the planet. I could stay in Salinas for half that, which is actually closer to the track, but uhhhh, no thanks!

Wifey and I will be there, but we'll be in our truck, hauling my Velocette to our annual VOCNA Summer Ride. I'll bring my key this year, in case there are any goodies at Ducati Island.

$300 for a BW? For another $50 we have stayed at the Marina Dunes and more recently at the Tally Ho in Carmel. The latter is two blocks from a whole bunch of great restaurants, even the Hog's Breath Bar. This was the finest room we've ever had, quiet, and with covered parking.

Here's a pic of our room....not bad, eh? But this year we'll be staying with my brother in Santa Cruz - much cheaper.

If I lived on the West Coast I probably would. Just FYI if you guys get a chance you should ride through to the San Juan Bautista Dam. I drove through there a couple years ago and there are some great twisties around there.
