Ordered a Laminar Lip and put it on the factory screen. Have to say its quite impressive. I had the touring screen on with a puig adjustable extension and it was ok. The laminar is even better. It pushes the air away from your shoulders. This removes the air from using my body like a sail and pushing on me and lightening the front end. Its a marked- noticeable- improvement. So much so im going to sell my touring screen- so if youre interested let me know.
The lip attaches with adhesive tabs and are really industrial strength strong. I rode today here in Texas and its blowing about 20+ mph out of the south. The screen held just fine. K also did about a buck twenty and no problems.
I was going to mount it to the touring screen but they arent curved alike enough to attach it. I would highly recommend this! And I dont work for them nor do I get a kickback!

Are you able to take it off and back on easily? On the really hot days, I like the extra breeze.

The manufacturer said you can gently remove it with a butter knife but I can see that weakening the bond. Its allows enough air to move over you but its just not blasting you directly. If you dont mind air hitting you the touring screen would be fine.

Looks good, it's on my future farkle list. I used to take the one on my Buell off for bike washing - the hardest part was getting it back on straight as the velcro is really aggressive. The velcro buttons won't come off as long as you clean the surface well with rubbing alcohol first.

It gets REALLY hot here in inland SoCal, and there is still air flow with it on - just not turbulent.

It doesn't look too bad with factory screen. Any chance you can take a shot with it off? I'm guessing you'll just see black velcro tabs?

It takes just a bit of the youthful, edgy look away but I need the highway speed relief so bad that I might have to suck it up.

Man, I'd really prefer they made a touring screen model.

Honestly, I am afraid to take it off because i dont want to compromise the adhesion. There would be four velcro tabs on the screen. I cant tell you how well its settled down the front end. I used to get the wobbles as wind would hit my shoulders. Thats gone for the most part. Cross winds still upset it a bit but its a huge improvement. I wish there were a better one piece touring screen on the market too. Until then I will stick with this- its that good.

Big fan of the LIP but really wish they fitted one for touring screen. I noticed they make one for the Multi's touring screen. I like the smoked finish on the touring setup. I feel like they could probably shuffle the 3M mounting pads around a bit and make a good purchase to the touring screen. I remember laying the 2 screens on top of each other and noting the touring screen really wasn't that much bigger/different angles.

My thought exactly - lets hope they see this post and respond accordingly.

annoyed it cant attach to the touring screen, that's annoying. anyone know other options for touring screen or another screen altogether.

You'll have better luck if you contact them directly...if enough folks ask, they will deliver. Or try offering them your screen for a mockup...:D

I'm sticking with stock for now. Don't ride the interstates on this bike much!

I received this reply from Laminar LIP regarding a touring screen model:

"Thank you for your email, our problem is that we have no access to the Touring shield if someone is willing to send us a shield we can see what is needed to make a LIP. Please call me at 714-540-8006 if there is an interest in this, we would need the shield only a day.

Thanks again,
Andy"

So, Cobra, if you're not using your touring screen, maybe you could part with it for a little while so they can gen one up.

Theres someone interested in buying my touring screen but I havent heard from them in a few days so I could send it in if I dont hear from them.
Also, sent a note to CalSci screens and they said they will be making some screens for the hyperstrada and releasing them next month. They make some quality stuff.
