How much did't you pay for the Maintenance Service after 15,000 km (9,000 mi)/12 months?
The Service is coming up on my Bike!

Just nice to know;)

Gruss Steffen

In Berlin I paid about 300 Euro for the 1year/15.000km service.

Now I got 23.000 on the bike and the 30.000/2 year service will cost me about 800Euro in Berlin.

But I asked an open dealer and he told me that the big service does cost nearly the same, does not matter if you go to ducati or to an open ducati store.

This was important because when I buy the 3-4 year warrenty I have to do the service at ducati official

Danke Manni!

With the Monster i was going for the 1 year extra warrenty with Ducati but it's to expensive for one year 360euro. Now I have 2 Year extra warrenty with a insurance company which has been recommended by my Ducati Dealer and it's only 260euro for 2 years!

Service Interval

In the US the service interval is minor at 7500 miles and major at 15000 miles. I paid just under $300 for 7500 mile, 15000 mile coming up.

My docs say 9,000 and 18,000 miles...

I don't know where they got 7500. Mines counting down to just over 9000 miles for next service (it shows you countdown right after switching ignition on for couple seconds). My dealer did recommend a mid-way oil change, but just a preference thing.

I'm surprised they don't change the air filter until 18K. I'm going to swap for a washable when I do my 9K.

Although the guy who founded K&N is a personal friend, I would not use one on my Strada. I even removed the "snorkel" setup that the PO put on my pickup in favor of the stock airbox and filter.

There was a test done a few years ago that showed that a K&N will pass dirt if the airflow is high enough. I'll run them on our relatively worthless MuZ Skorpion, but not on anything that I both value and intend to keep. And foam filters are not much better unless you keep them very well maintained.

That said, I'll bet there's not much dust over there in the swamps, compared to the desert here!

Manni,

Inspektion hat 259 Euro gekostet mit Bremsbeläge hinten und einer Multi als Ersatz für einen Tag!
