Hi All,
Looking for a quick simple answer to a question I just can't seem to get a straight answer on.
I have purchased a 14 HS 821, low miles, and have always done my own maintenance / repairs on previous bikes. Just not on a Ducati. I'm not intimidated and don't mind buying tools needed. I love this thing and probably will have it a very long time.
That said, is there a way to do this without having to go to a dealer every time service is done to get the ***** lights turned off ($125 per)?
I have talked to Rexxer, the local dealer, and looked into every tuning option I can find, but still not clear. Rexxer tells me that the Revo unit for this bike will not turn off service light, and suggest I just buy the $300 tune and be done with it. Obviously, not what I'm looking for.
Also, I have no need to mess with the mapping or ECU, but, the Rexxor tune sounds interesting.
So, my expert friends, what are my options? I bought the bike and really thought the Rexxer tuner was going to be the s__t.
Have time, snow fore casted tomorrow....

I went looking about a year ago. I even emailed Marelli to see if they had any direction but ofcourse they said no because of the contract with Ducati.
A few other searches and digging I came across this
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=scantwin.scanmM5.AllinOne

And this

Diagnostic ECU Marelli

There is another link In the play store info too but so far its above my head so I stopped. There are a few conversations here about this subject but they all lead to dead ends. The other group has a more broad bike group and some might transfer over but from what I found, our specific ecu resists us. If you can figure it out please share

Hmmm. I'm going to dig into these. App for that:eek:? Never considered this at all!
Could take some time, but I will report on whatever I can find out. On the surface, look to good to be true. But hey, worth the effort for sure.
Thanks for the input.

Past research indicated that IAWdiag (something like that) available for other/ older models would reset the light. No joy for the motard/ strada line.

Well, that sucks.I guess I may pay to get the BIG service done, for re-sale, but the rest I'll do my self. I believe there is a way to clear simple errors.
The app creator tells me that if GuzziDiag works, this will also... no love for sure.
Sorry to beat a dead horse here.
